Print UK Lands Five Year Navtech Contract

PRINT.UK.COM, owned by CFH Docmail Ltd, has announced a significant new five year contract with aeronautical experts, Navtech, Inc, to print and deliver mandatory flight documentation to all of its airline customers across multiple UK airports. 

From its base in Slough, Print.UK.COM, which was bought by print and mail specialists, CFH Docmail Ltd, last October, will be responsible for providing updated copies of terminal and enroute aviation charts and essential documentation for pilots to the flight decks of Navtech’s airline customers every two weeks. The documentation, which includes maps, flight paths, navigational charts, and details of airfields and terminals, is a mandatory requirement for commercial airlines.

Navtech, with offices in Canada, the UK and Sweden, is a leading provider of flight operations software solutions and services to 350 airlines and aviation service customers across the globe, offering aeronautical charts, navigation data solutions, flight planning, aircraft performance software, and crew planning solutions.

The new contract will see Print.UK.COM significantly increasing its output, producing volumes of over 50 million documents every year, all of which must reach the flight decks within a strict time-frame. In order to fulfil the contract, Print UK has already invested in new software to deal with the data updates, installed new Xerox printing equipment, and has taken on new members of staff. It has also reconfigured its warehouse to create a dedicated area for the output and fulfilment.
